Erik Cooper, Founder

Erik is the former managing partner and Chief Investment Officer at Fountech Ventures, an international venture capital fund focused on investing in early-stage deep tech and artificial intelligence companies.

Prior to Fountech, Erik was the Chief Financial Officer at BPS Technology which was a family office-backed holding company with investments in agriculture, distribution, manufacturing, and Oil & Gas.

Erik was also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DustUp where he started a SaaS platform from scratch to democratize livestock trading and provide for enhanced animal traceability in the protein value chain.

Underpinning all of Erik's accomplishments is significant corporate and investment banking experience across several industries focused on private equity, structured finance, debt and equity capital markets, and special situations while he was at RBC, Goldman Sachs, and ING.

A Native Texan, Erik earned his MA in Global Finance from the University of Denver and his BA from The University of Texas at Austin.
